Description

This is an early 17th-century building on the north side of South Street, altered in 1735. It is a two-story structure with a rounded obtuse-angled front, rendered with a stippled finish and painted white. The building has sash windows with glazing bars, and a slate roof. A six-panel door features sunk upper panels and a fanlight, set within deep reveals. Inside, on the first floor, there is a wide stone fireplace with a stop-chamfered impressive beam that was recently exposed. The listed buildings in South Street form a group.
