Description

The building at number 8 Fore Street, Diwell’s, dates probably to the 17th and 18th centuries, with alterations made subsequently. It occupies two street frontages. The right-hand side presents as a three-storey plastered facade with a gable. It features a sash window on the second floor and a later splayed bay window on the first floor. A modern shop front fills the ground floor. The left-hand side displays a two-storey stucco facade, with two doors at ground level and a first floor featuring windows with glazing bars. The roof is hipped and covered in slate. Numbers 2, 4, and 8, and numbers 7, 13, and 15 on the North Side, are grouped together for their collective group value.
