Description
These are two attached buildings located on the east side of Market Place, likely dating from the 17th century and subsequently altered. Number 11 is a two-story building with three windows. It has a steeply pitched roof covered with slates and brick walls that have been painted, with a horizontal floor band visible. The windows are flush frame sashes, now with centre glazing bars only. The shop front on the left is made of wood and dates from the 19th century. To the right is a three-centred archway, likely for vehicle access, with a decorative key stone. Number 12 is a two-story brick building with painted walls. It features two flush frame windows on the first floor, now fitted with sheet glass and flat arches that have been stuccoed to resemble voussoirs. The ground floor and the sides of the first floor are also finished with rusticated stucco. Decorative brackets adorn the eaves. The roof is covered with slates. The 19th-century wood shop front has pilasters and a right-side entrance with a fanlight above, framed by stuccoed detailing. Numbers 11 to 13 combine as a group with Numbers 13 to 19 on the High Street.
