Description

Number 28 on High Street is likely an 18th-century building that has been altered. It features a buff brick facade with a painted return on the north side. The roof is hipped and covered with old tiles and pantiles. On the first floor, there is a sash window with glazing bars set beneath a gauged flat arch, and the building has flank pilasters. The ground floor has a bank front, which includes heavy Doric pilasters and a continuous entablature. This building is part of a group that includes numbers 26 to 38 (even) and numbers 48 and 50.
