Description

Number 33 on High Street is a building from the 18th century, although the northern half may be older and is set back from the rest of the structure. The facade is made of painted brick, topped with a tiled roof that is hipped and steeply pitched over the northern part. The building has three storeys and features four windows, which include a canted bay on the ground and first floors. All windows are sash types with glazing bars, except for the two northern windows on the top floor, which are casements with glazing bars. There is a porch with a pediment supported by Doric columns. At the southern end of the facade, there is a carriage archway with double panelled doors. Numbers 29 to 35 on the odd side of the street form a group with this building.
