Description

This is a timber-framed house with brick infilling, dating from the 18th century. It has an old tiled roof and a large chimney situated off-centre. The building is two and a half storeys high, with a gable at the west end of the facade, featuring a single window in the attic. The front has three sash windows on the first floor and four on the ground floor. The sash windows have boxed frames and glazing bars, though the ground floor east window is an older casement. A door is topped with a flat hood. Number 10, along with its garage (formerly the Village Forge), forms a group with numbers 12 to 22 (even) on West Street.
