Description
No 7 West Street is a building dating from the 17th/early 18th century, though likely of earlier origin. It is constructed of painted brick, with a steeply pitched old tiled roof and an eastern smoke gablet. The building has a half storey with two gabled dormers featuring casement windows. The ground floor has sash windows with glazing bars, set within moulded boxed frames with cambered head linings. A central plank door is topped by a small flat hood supported by brackets. The building is part of a group of buildings of local interest, forming with Harris and Hiscock, an adjoining outbuilding, Nos 5 and 9, Nos 15 to 21 (odd), and No 27, all located together along the street facade.
