Description
The Bugle Hotel is an 18th-century building located on the east side of High Street in Titchfield. It features a painted brick facade with a stringcourse above the first floor and below the parapet, topped by a tiled roof. The hotel stands three storeys tall and has four windows, arranged in two bays of three storeys each. Tile hanging is present between the floors, flanking the central window and one on the south side, which includes an angular bay on the ground floor. The windows are sashes with glazing bars, all except the bays set in moulded boxed frames with cambered head linings. The entrance consists of a round arched doorway with a semi-circular fanlight and a semi-circular porch supported by columns, accessed by two stone steps. The Bugle Hotel, along with its outbuilding, is part of a group that includes Nos 20 to 46 (even), with Nos 44 and 46 noted as buildings of local interest.
