Description
Number 7 on Church Street is a timber-framed house that was refronted with brick, likely in the 17th century. The timber framing can still be seen in the gable at the west end. The facade is made of painted brick and features a stringcourse that extends over the off-center door, which is located beneath a large chimney stack. The house has an old tiled roof and consists of two storeys. There are two windows, which are sash windows with boxed frames and glazing bars. Additionally, there are two doorways that have depressed heads. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 11 (odd), the Rectory, Nos 2 and 4, and Nos 10 to 14 (even), all of which are associated with the Parish Church of St Peter and St Paul, along with the memorials, table tombs, and walls in the Old Churchyard. Nos 1 and 3 are noted as buildings of local interest.
