Description
No 5 on Church Street is a 18th century facade of a timber-framed house. It features red brick construction, an eaves cornice, and an old tiled roof. The building has two storeys and three sash windows with boxed frames and glazing bars. The doorway is adorned with fluted pilasters and a pediment, leading to a six-panelled door, of which the top two panels are now glazed. This property, along with Nos 1 to 11 (odd), the Rectory, Nos 2 and 4, and Nos 10 to 14 (even), forms a group with the Parish Church of St Peter and St Paul, as well as the memorials, table tombs, and walls in the Old Churchyard. Nos 1 and 3 are noted as buildings of local interest.
