Description

No 4 on Fore Street is a building from around the early 19th century. It is three storeys high with a single window on the front, which is covered in painted plaster. The two upper floors feature Georgian-style splay bays that contain three-light sash windows with glazing bars. The ground floor has a shop with a wooden splay bay window and flanking doors beneath a continuous fascia, which has been replaced with modern wood. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 2, 4, and 8, as well as Nos 7, 13, and 15 on the north side.
