Description

The Globe Hotel, located at 7 Fore Street, dates from around 1830. It is a three-storey building with a three-window front, featuring sash windows with glazing bars. The ground floor has a three-light window, while the first-floor windows are very tall and set within round-headed sunk panels. The central doorway is round-headed and has a moulded archivolt, along with an attractive fanlight above. The Globe Hotel is part of a group that includes Nos 7, 13, and 15 on the north side, as well as Nos 2, 4, and 8 on the south side.
