Description
Temperley Place, located at No. 4 Hencotes, dates from around 1826. This building is two storeys high and features two widely spaced windows. It is constructed from rubble with quoins and other detailing. The windows are glazing bar sash types, and there is a central doorcase with a raised surround. The entrance includes a nine-panel door topped by four centred arched heads, with a rectangular light above the door.
Temperley Place, along with Nos 1 to 43 (odd) Hencotes and the surrounding walls, forms a group of buildings, which includes Nos 7 to 13, 13A and 13B, 19, 21, 31, 33, and 41 Hencotes, all of which are of local interest.
