Description
43 Hencotes is an early 19th-century building that stands two storeys high and features three windows. To the left, there is a two-storey garage annexe. The building is constructed of brick and has stone heads above the windows. It includes glazing bar sash windows, with one window being blank and painted over the porch. A later addition is a projecting gabled porch finished in pebbledash, which has a decorative bargeboard with a finial and a two-leaf six-panel door.
To the right, there is a slightly later one-window brick extension that has diamond glazing on the ground floor and a door to the right. The garage extension on the left is also two storeys high, featuring one window with a lunette on the first floor and a shallow gable above, along with garage doors on the ground floor. A string course runs over the ground floor.
The building is part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 43 (odd) Hencotes, along with Temperley Place (Nos 1 to 5) and surrounding walls, with several nearby properties of local interest.
