Description
The Vicarage is a building mostly constructed in 1762, with additions and alterations from the 19th century. The principal front faces north and features three storeys with six windows, which are flush framed glazing bar sashes; two of these on the first floor to the left are blind and painted with rebates. The building is made of rich red brick, with occasional headers or courses, and has a Marley-tiled roof with coped verges and kneelers. There is a roughly central porch that is a closed brick projection, featuring a pilastered doorcase with a spoked fanlight in the pediment. On the east gable end, there is a large two-storey, three-light bay. The rear of the building has extensions from various dates, including a very large chimney on the east side. Additionally, there is a mid-19th century two-storey, one-window hipped extension to the left, which includes a garage on the ground floor.
