Description
Maxwellheugh Cottage is a later 18th century building located on Jedburgh Road in Kelso. It is two storeys tall with an attic and features a three-bay front facing south. The central door is adorned with an ornamental timber lean-to porch. The exterior is harled with a rendered plinth and margins, straight skews, and a slated roof, complemented by brick end stacks. The windows are 12-pane double-sash glazing. To the west, there is a single-storey wing that has a tall round-headed window on the south side, also with straight skews and a slated roof. Additionally, there is a low two-storey garage and store extension to the west, which has a low-pitched sheet-asbestos roof.
