The low street wall in front of Temperley Place (Number 4) dates from around 1826 and is constructed of ashlar stone. This wall is included in the listing for its group value, as it contributes to the overall character of the area. The wall, along with the houses numbered 1 to 43 (odd) on Hencotes and Temperley Place (Numbers 1 to 5), forms a cohesive group.
