Description
No 1 Manor Cottages is a 17th-century building that has undergone later alterations. It is constructed from sandstone blocks with quoins and features a 20th-century artificial slate roof with stone chimneys. The building has a symmetrical two-storey, three-bay front, which includes a central 20th-century panelled door set in a chamfered surround, topped by a hoodmould with labels. Above the door is a carved panel displaying a geometric pattern in relief. The windows were originally mullioned two-light windows under hoodmoulds with labels; however, only the first-floor center window remains intact, while the others have had their sills lowered and now feature 20th-century casements. There are two original mullioned windows on the ground floor of the north return, with a mullioned and transomed three-light window above.
