Description
Showley Hall is a house, probably from the 17th century, with alterations made in the early to mid-18th century and later in the 19th century. It is constructed of sandstone and brick, rendered, and features a stone slate roof. The building has two storeys. To the right of the entrance door is a five-light double-chamfered mullioned window with a hood, while to the left is a modern window with plain reveals. On the first floor, there are four modern windows with plain reveals and stone sills. The entrance door is framed by a stone doorcase with attached Ionic columns that support an entablature. Above the cornice and partly within the open moulded segmental pediment is a narrow horizontal light. The gables are coped and have kneelers topped with ball finials. There are gable chimneys, with the left-hand one featuring a projecting stack.
