Description

This is a pair of weavers' houses, dating from the late 18th century, and forming part of a row in Church Street, Ribchester. The houses are built of squared sandstone with a slate roof. No. 23 is two storeys and one bay, with a door to its left side. No. 24 is lower, two storeys, and has a door to its left. To the left of the door at No. 24 is a tunnel entrance with a plain stone surround and a semi-circular head, featuring a projecting keystone and imposts. There is also a second first-floor window positioned above the door at No. 24. All windows and doors have simple, plain cemented surrounds.
