Description

A pair of late 18th-century weavers’ houses, part of a row, located on Church Street in Ribchester. The houses are constructed from squared sandstone with a slate roof. They rise to three storeys, featuring a plain frieze and stone gutter brackets. The windows have plain reveals. Each house has a door to the left, set within a plain stone surround and topped with a triangular moulded hood supported by shaped stone brackets. The attic window of No. 25 retains its original sash window with glazing bars. No. 26 has a tunnel entrance to the left, framed by plain stone with a semi-circular head, projecting key, and imposts. A first-floor window has been inserted above the tunnel entrance.
