Description

No. 22 Regent Street is a building that dates from the early 19th century and originally consisted of two shops, which have now been combined into one unit. The exterior is finished in painted stucco and features a slate roof that is hipped to the left, with a large truncated stack on the right. The building has three storeys and a three-window range.

On the left, there is a bay that is slightly angled backward, which contains a 3/6-pane sash window on the second floor and a 6/6-pane sash window on the first floor. To the left of the centre on the upper floors, there are 4/4-pane sash windows, while the right side features an 8/8-pane sash window on the second floor and a 6/6-pane sash window in a curved frame within a bay on the first floor. The ground floor has a 20th-century shop front that includes a moulded cornice above the fascia and a two-pane overlight above a modern door located at the far left. The interior has been altered. No. 22 is part of a group of listed buildings in Regent Gardens.
