Part of a house, now shop. Late C18, refronted early C19, with some mid- C20 alterations. Stuccoed brick with tile roof. Three storeys, modillioned cornice to parapet, quoins; two windows: sashes with tripartite glazing and pilastered architraves with moulded cornice; second floor: similar sashes in pilastered and pedimented architraves; ground floor: to left-hand corner entrance has a plain wooden doorcase and a four flush panel door, leading to staircase; to right shop front has a central recessed entrance flanked by two plate glass windows. No 53 (qv) was a part of the same building.
