Description

This is an early 18th-century house, later used as a restaurant and a house. It has been altered in the mid-20th century. The building is constructed of brick with a tile roof. It is three storeys high with an attic lit by a flat-roofed dormer. The roof has brick coped verges and a moulded wooden cornice, with a decorative band marking the first floor. It has two windows. The windows have boxed glazing bar sashes with painted rubbed brick heads. The second-floor windows are similar but have timber lintels. A central lead drainpipe features decorative fixings. The ground floor is slightly advanced and has a flat roof with a pilastered shop front and a signboard. A centrally placed recessed entrance has a half-glazed door flanked by multi-pane shop fronts. A hanging sign is located on the first floor to the left, supported by a 20th-century wrought iron bracket.
