Description
This is an early 17th-century house, later refaced in the mid-18th century, and altered in the late 20th century. It is now used as a shop and offices. The building is timber-framed and now clad in brick, with a tile roof and gable-end stacks. It is three storeys high with an attic containing two gabled dormers. The front has a dentilled brick cornice. The windows are top-hung casements with stone sills and plastered wedge lintels. The second floor has windows similar to the first floor. The ground floor features a shop front on the left – it was under construction in June 1985 – and a recessed entrance to the right with a 20th-century panelled door leading to the staircase.
