Description

This is a house, originally dating from the 17th century, which was refaced in the 18th century. It is timber-framed and has a roughcast and brick refronting, with a gabled tile roof and an end stack that has been removed. The exterior is two storeys plus an attic, with a two-window front. It has two horizontal bands under the roughcast, and a deep, dentilled brick cornice at the top. The ground floor now has late 20th-century entrances and small-paned shop windows to the right. The first floor has windows with 8/8 sash windows in wide frames. There are two renewed gabled dormers with 20th-century casements. The timber frame is exposed on the left return gable. The interior was not inspected.
