Description
Holmleigh is a house dating from the 17th century, which was refronted in the early 18th century and has some late 20th-century alterations. It is constructed of timber-frame with rendered infill, refronted in painted brick on a coursed rubble plinth, and has a tile roof. The main stack is located at the center of the rear wall. The south front features one storey with an attic, which is illuminated by two gabled dormers and a central 2-light casement window set in a pediment above an advanced center section. There is a band at the ground floor level. The window arrangement consists of two sets of three-light casements on the outer sides and two-light casements in the center, all under segmental heads. The entrance is positioned to the right of the center and features a segmental head with a glazed door. The exposed framing on the east gable end consists of three square panels high with two struts supporting the collar.
