Description
Castle House is a house that now includes a registry office. It was built in the early 19th century and extended in the mid-19th century, with some repairs made in the mid-20th century. The building is constructed of coursed ashlar and has a hipped slate roof. The east front has two storeys and features three windows: to the left is a 16-pane sash window, in the center is a narrower 16-pane sash, and to the right is a 6-pane sash. All windows have segmental heads with keystones. The ground floor mirrors the upper floor's window arrangement, with an entrance to the left of center. This entrance has a wooden doorcase with Doric pilasters and a moulded cornice, and the door itself consists of four panels. To the left, there is a single-storey extension that houses the registry office, which has two 4-pane sash windows under segmental heads flanking a central entrance. To the right, there is a lean-to extension that includes a garage.
