Description
Throne View is a house dating from the 16th century, with some alterations made in the mid-19th century and a late 20th-century extension. It features a timber frame with painted brick and rendered infill beneath a tiled roof. The building has two framed bays that are aligned east to west, with the main stack located at the east gable end. The south front is two storeys high and jettied. There are three windows, all of which are 2-light casements. On the ground floor, two 5-light casements flank a central entrance that has a plain wooden architrave and a ledged and boarded door. The framing consists of two square panels high on each floor, with straight angle braces. The bressummer of the jetty is moulded and supported by curved brackets that rise from pilasters.
