Description
The Manor House is a house dating from the 17th century, which was raised and partly refronted in the early 18th century and extensively restored in the late 20th century. It is timber-framed with rendered infill on a coursed rubble plinth, and partly refronted in brick beneath a hipped tile roof. The building has an L-shaped plan, with the main range extending to the northwest and a subsidiary limb to the southwest.
The southeast front is two storeys high; the brick section on the right features bands at each floor level and a panelled parapet. There is a lead drain pipe on the left with a funnel head. This front has three windows, all of which are 18-pane boxed sashes set under segmental heads. To the left, the timber-framed section is also two storeys high and has three windows, consisting of two 2-light casements flanking a 3-light casement. The entrance in the centre of this part is marked by a 20th-century gabled porch, and the door itself is from the 17th century, adorned with ornamental strap hinges.
On the northeast front, there are four gabled dormers that light the attic, and an external stack made of rubble is located to the left. The framing consists of three square panels high, raised in light scantling, and is extended in similar framing.
