Description

The Court House is a farmhouse built in the early 17th century, mostly rebuilt in the late 18th century, with some alterations from the mid-20th century. It features a timber frame clad in coursed rubble and extended in ashlar, topped with a slate roof. The main 18th-century section runs east to west and has gable-end stacks, while the 17th-century part is attached at the eastern end, featuring a short rear wing and a large stack at the junction.

The south front has three storeys and four windows, which are of the 3-light mullion and transom type. The ground floor includes a canted bay on the right with a glazing bar sash window. The main entrance, located to the left of centre, has a mid-20th-century half-glazed porch with a slate roof. The main door is half-glazed and includes an overlight. The 17th-century section to the right is lower, with two storeys and features a 2-light and a 3-light casement window on the first floor. Its entrance on the left has a half-glazed door.

At the rear, the exposed framing consists of three square panels high, with a gable truss that has two struts to the collar and V-struts at the apex. Inside, there are exposed chamfered and stopped ceiling beams.
