Description
Arrow Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century, which was raised and extended in the late 18th century, with some repairs made in the mid-20th century. The building features a timber frame with rendered infill set on a rendered plinth. The front has been extended in painted brick and is topped with a slate roof, while the rear has a corrugated iron roof. The house has a T-plan layout, with the front range aligned north to south and an additional range extending to the east. There is a gable-end stack made of rubble to the north and another stack at the junction of the two ranges.
The west front is two storeys high and has three windows, all of which are 2-light casements. The ground floor features four windows, with casements arranged in a pattern of 3, 2, 3, and 2 lights. The entrance is located to the right of centre and includes a plank weathering and a 20th-century ledged and boarded door with strap hinges. The framing consists of three square panels high, raised by an additional panel from the 18th century.
