Description
The White Swan Inn is a house that has been converted into a public house. It dates back to the 17th century and was extended in the late 18th or early 19th century, with some alterations made in the mid-20th century. The building features a timber frame that is clad in brick and has been extended in stuccoed brick, all under a hipped slate roof.
The structure consists of two ranges aligned east to west, with the rear section being the older part. The north front has an external gable-end stack on the left side. The building is two storeys high and includes two segmental plan bow windows that reach the full height, each with flat roofs and 5-light windows. To the left of the centre, there is a 2-light casement window. The central entrance is sheltered by a flat roof porch added in the 20th century, and the door is made up of four panels with an over-light above. The building is noted for its group value.
