Description
Hilltop is a house dating from the late 17th century, which was refronted in the 18th century and extended in the 20th century. It features a timber frame with partial brick casing and rendering, topped by a tiled roof. The house is two storeys high and has two bays.
On the ground floor, the entrance is located to the right of the centre and consists of a plank door with a later gabled timber porch. Flanking the entrance are two-light timber glazing bar casements with segmental heads. There is a plinth at the base of the house. The first floor has two similar casements that break the dentilled brick eaves. The right gable end is rendered and shows exposed purlins, along with an attic casement. An external stack with a large base features tiled offsets leading to a narrow flue. The left gable displays exposed timbers. At the rear, there is a taller 20th-century brick addition with a lean-to outshut on the right. The interior has not been inspected.
