Description
Belsize House is a house dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. It features a timber frame with roughcast and a tiled roof. The building consists of three bays and is two storeys high. The entrance is located between the two left bays and has a later gabled hood. On the ground floor, there are four 20th-century two-light casement windows with leaded panes, and on the first floor, there are three similar windows. The right end of the house has a 17th-century external stack with a lean-to outshut towards the front. The gables display exposed plates and purlins. At the rear, there is a continuous lean-to outshut, and a 20th-century stack has been added on the front pitch at the left end. The interior has not been inspected, and there is a 20th-century flat-roofed addition to the rear that is not of special interest.
