Description
No. 20 Market Place is a shop building from the late 18th century, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. The exterior features stucco that mimics ashlar stone, a slate roof, a coped gable, and a brick gable stack. It has two storeys plus attics and a three-bay front, which includes a first-floor sill band, a moulded cornice, and a plain parapet. The shop front was updated in the 20th century. On the first floor, there are three plain sash windows with moulded stucco surrounds. In the attic, there is a single glazing bar dormer with a flat lead roof. The lower two-storey rear wing was rebuilt in the 20th century. The ground floor shop area is now continuous with the adjacent No. 19. The interior has not been inspected.
