Description
41, 41A, and 41B Market Place is a house that has been converted into a shop, dating from the early 19th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. The building is constructed of painted brick and features a slate roof. The left-hand gable stack has been reduced, while the right-hand gable stack is from the 19th century.
The exterior consists of three storeys with a three-bay front. There is a band at the second floor and a narrow dentilled timber eaves cornice. The ground floor has been altered to accommodate 20th-century shop fronts. On the first and second floors, there are three plain sash windows with segmental brick heads. Each floor on the gable end has two similar windows. At the rear, there is a lower two-storey, two-bay wing that includes a plain sash window and a rectangular 19th-century oriel bay window on the first floor. The interior has not been inspected.
