Description

No. 22 Market Place is a shop built in the early 19th century, with alterations made in the late 19th and 20th centuries. The building features painted brick and stucco, and a stone-coped parapet that conceals a slate roof.

The exterior has a three-storey, two-bay front with a modern shop front set within a late 19th-century surround, which includes channelled rusticated quoins. Above this, there is a plain frieze and a dentilled cornice that displays a central palmette motif. On the first and second floors, there are two sash windows with cambered heads and wedge stucco lintels.

The interior has not been inspected.
