Description
No. 107 Southgate Street is a shop and former dwelling built around 1800, with some alterations made in the 20th century. The building is constructed of painted brick and has a slate roof, with a brick stack located to the left. It has a double-depth layout with a rear wing, forming an L-shape. The exterior features three storeys, topped with a stone-coped parapet. The front includes a late 19th-century shop front framed by pilasters and a 20th-century shop fascia. Each of the upper floors has three late 19th-century sash windows, which have central vertical glazing bars, set in their original openings with rubbed brick flat-arched heads and projecting stone sills. The interior has not been inspected.
