Description

This is a barn dating from the early to mid-19th century, located 20 metres west of Nethercott Farmhouse. It features a slate roof with gable ends and is constructed from rubble with pronounced mortar. At the rear, there is a horse-engine house that has a gable-ended slate roof, a heavy winding-shaft beam, and some machinery still intact. The front left of the barn has a cart entrance with large double wooden doors and a slated canopy supported by projecting rubble piers. The barn is included for its group value with the adjoining farmhouse.
