Description
This is a barn with a horse-engine house, built in the mid-19th century with later alterations. It is constructed from roughly coursed slate-stone, featuring purple brick dressings, granite lintels, and quoins, topped with a hipped slate roof. The barn encloses the north side of the farmyard and has two levels. The first floor includes windows on the left and right, with a doorway in the center. The ground floor features two doorways on the left and one on the right, flanking two windows. At the rear on the left, there is a hexagonal horse-engine house with an asbestos sheet roof, which is open to the west side. This building is included for its group value with the nearby Burraton Farmhouse.
