Description

A pair of early 19th-century terraced houses located on Fore Street in Ilfracombe. The houses are constructed of stucco, with number 77 having a colourwashed finish, and have slate roofs and dormers. Number 76 has three windows, while number 77 has two, one of which is blind. Number 76 features a round-arched entrance with a six-panel door, and recessed four-pane sash windows. The left-hand first-floor windows are flush frame twelve-pane sashes with exposed boxing. Number 77 has a square-headed entrance with a six-panel door. To the right of the entrance is a 19th-century wooden shopfront with a four-pane sash window. The windows above the entrance are blind, with a 20th-century casement window on the first floor above the shopfront and a two-pane sash on the second floor. Number 77 is included for group value with the other listed buildings along Fore Street. The interiors have not been inspected.
