Description
No. 12 Broad Street is a small cottage that has been converted into a shop with living space above. It dates from the 17th century or early 18th century and has been altered over time. The building features whitewashed rubble walls, with the first floor decorated with large seashells. It has a grouted slate roof that is now covered with mastic, and a rendered chimney stack is located on the right side. The structure is two storeys high and has one window. On the ground floor, there are two 20th-century plate glass windows on either side of a part-glazed door, all set beneath an old timber beam. Above, there is an enlarged 20th-century window. The interior has not been inspected. This property is part of a group that includes the Royal Britannia Hotel and other nearby buildings.
