Description
This is a pair of early 19th-century terraced houses, with a possible earlier rear section. Located on Woodbridge Street in Islington, the houses are numbers 11 and 13. The front of number 11 has a three-window range, although the layout is irregular, while number 13 has a two-window range. The front portions of both houses are stuccoed and have a shallow-sloped roof, while the rear part of number 11 is faced with brown brick in English and Flemish bond and has a parapet. The rear section of number 13 is also brick with a clay tile roof, giving the impression of a continuation of the front roofline.
The frontages have two round-arched entrances, each with a plain stucco surround, keystone, cornice, and fanlight. The fanlight on number 13 has decorative glazing. A storey band runs between the ground and first floors. The upper windows of number 11 are irregular, with some flat-arched and others round-arched; those of number 13 are flat-arched. An eaves cornice tops the facade. Dormers are visible in the rear roof of number 11, with stacks on the front and side walls. Number 13 has two stacks on its side walls. Cast iron railings are present to the area.
