Description

This is a terrace of three early 19th-century houses on Trinity Road in Weymouth. The houses are rendered and have slate roofs. Each house is two storeys with an attic, originally featuring a single window. Number 6 has 2 late Victorian additions: a gable with decorative bargeboards and finial above a two-storey bow with tripartite sash windows, with a small modillion cornice carried across the full frontage. The first-floor sash window at number 6 lacks horizontal bars, and the ground floor has a later three-pane shop front with transom lights. Number 7 has a 4:12:4-pane sash window above a plain sash window. Number 8 stands out with alternating rusticated quoins and 8:12:8-paned sashes at each level. Each house has an arched doorway to the left: Number 6 features a glazed door and plain fanlight within a moulded architrave; Number 7 has a 20th-century door beneath a radial fanlight; and Number 8 has a 20th-century door with a fanlight containing coloured glass, each accessed by two stone steps. The wide-span mansard roof has two large stacks below the ridge to each slope. The rear elevation includes several small-pane casement dormers. The interior has not been inspected.
