Description

Broadway House is a detached house dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of roughcast cob on stone footings and features a gabled-end slate roof. The house has a double-depth plan, with the principal rooms located on either side of the entrance and service rooms at the rear. It has two storeys and end stacks. The front of the house is symmetrical with a three-window range, rusticated quoins, and all windows are fitted with 16-pane hornless sashes, except for the central first-floor window, which has 12 panes. The central doorway is round-headed and is adorned with reeded pilasters, a soffit, and reveals that have fielded panels. The door itself is a fielded panel door topped with a semi-circular fanlight.
