Description
Nettleworth House is a detached house dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of stone and cob, with parts plastered, and has a hipped slate roof with overhanging eaves and a moulded gutter box. The house follows a double-depth plan, featuring large rooms on either side of a central entrance hall. The front facade is symmetrical, displaying a four-window arrangement, with 16-pane hornless sash windows throughout, some of which contain crown glass. The central doorway is characterised by panelled reveals and a door, sheltered by a canopy supported on shaped brackets. The left-hand end elevation mirrors this detail with a doorway, panelled reveals, a door, and a canopy on shaped brackets, as well as two horned sash windows. The rear elevation has scattered windows from the 19th and 20th centuries, including one three-light window with 10 leaded panes per light, and a fielded panel door.
