Description

The gatepiers in front of No. 6 on Silverton Church Road date from the late 17th century or early 18th century. They are made of volcanic trap ashlar and have a square profiled plan. Each pier features moulded capitals and tented caps that support a stone ball, although one ball is now missing. The gatepiers also have a moulded plinth.
