Description
The Little House is a detached house dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble stone on a plinth, featuring alternating flush quoins and a slate roof with rendered end stacks. The building is a single range of two storeys, with a small single-storey extension added to the left and a small single-storey rear wing.
The facade includes three windows, which are 16-pane sashes set in flush stone surrounds. On the ground floor, there are two larger 16-pane sashes flanking a round-headed plain stone doorcase that has a keystone and imposts. The doorcase features a recessed door with four fielded panels and a decorative radial fanlight above. This doorcase is sheltered by a wide hipped glass canopy supported by wrought iron colonnettes and decorative brackets. Inside, there is a turned baluster stair with a ramped handrail.
