Description

Mawley Farm House is a former farmhouse dating from the early 17th century, with probable extensions and alterations in the 19th century. It is constructed of rubble stone with a stone slate roof. The original range features a truncated end stack to the left and a stone end stack to the right, the latter having an offset and moulded cornice. A rear range, likely added in the 19th century, has a large external stone stack with a decorative brick flue. The building is in an L-shape, with a single-storey lean-to at the rear angle. The main range has an attic in the gable end. The front of the house has three long six-pane sash windows on each floor, with flush quoin surrounds. The left return shows a two-light stone mullion window with a square hoodmould in the gable. The right return features a glazed porch and a half-glazed four-panel door, alongside a mix of window types.
